Winter Erging

It’s back…… time to gear up again for 2015/2016 LMC’s winter erging program!

We’re offering four Winter Sessions from November to April and two different classes in these sessions:

  • WinterErg/CRASH-B Prep
  • ErgFit

 WinterErg

WinterErg is a perennial classic at LMC and the kind of program that reminds you that even though you’re in winter’s firm grip, a rower’s work is never done! WinterErg caters for all levels of rowers (absolute beginners welcome as well) and we split the classes into some technical erg work followed by a varied and interesting workout. You can go at your own speed or really put the power down-that’s the great thing about the erg. Either way, you’ll be glad that you kept your wheels spinning over the winter, particularly when you get back into the boat.

CRASH-B Prep

These workouts are held at the same time as WinterErg and follow a similar format, except that they are more targeted towards the insane few who plan on racing in the World Indoor Rowing Championships (otherwise known as the CRASH-Bs). The CRASH-Bs are a 2000 meter erg race and they’re held every February or March in Boston. Serious contenders start preparing early and this class is geared towards getting you the best 2k on race day.

 ErgFit

ErgFit is our newest offering and it mixes up the traditional erg format by throwing in some core, stability and resistance training. Prepare for about 25 total minutes of erging combined with a full-body circuit aimed a toning, strengthening and conditioning. All levels are welcome at ErgFit and the workout is as easy or as challenging as you like-that’s up to you. Call it a full heart and body workout; it’s guaranteed to keep you fit and working hard throughout the winter!

Session 1: Nov 9 – Dec 19 (6 Weeks, at LMC)

Session 3: Feb 22- March 19 (4 weeks,at LMC)

 Session 4: March 21 – April 16 (4 weeks, at LMC)
