Fall Guided Sailing
Starting on Saturday, September 12, 2015
LMC is excited to offer a new fall sailing program: Guided Sailing on a per session basis. Sailors can sail in Optis or 420s either solo or in a pair in a more supported version of LMC’s ‘Open Sail’ offering. A senior LMC Sailing Instructor will be present on the water at all times to guide sailors, ensure safety and offer suggestions about skills and technique. Sailors must have completed a sailing class at LMC in order to book Guided Sailing. Outside sailors interested in taking part should email: firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Please note that all sailors must arrive between 9am and 9:15am in order to check in and receive instructions about where they will be sailing that morning. Sailors should expect to be off the water by 10:45 at the latest in order to derigg the boats, with the session fully wrapped up by 11am. If you have any questions about the Guided Sailing offering, please feel free to email LMC’s Head of Sailing, Katie Manning at email@example.com.
Open sailing is available to competent sailors who meet our required flag rating for independent boating. This class is available to LMC students who meet the above as well as competent sailors who would like to have the option to get on the water a few evenings a week. Questions about Open Sail, how to book and whether you qualify for it should be directed to our Head of Sailing, Katie Manning at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Open Sailing is offered Monday and Wednesday nights 5:30-8:00pm during the summer season only.
